Our services, in detail

Four services for dogs and cats, none of them involving sedation.

Program 01 · For coats kept on top of

Bath & tidy-up

The right service for a coat that is brushed at home and just needs washing and tidying. We do not use heated cage dryers at any point — animals have died in them, and hand drying takes longer for a reason.

Stage 1 · Check in

Coat and skin looked over with you.

Stage 2 · Bath

Products suited to the coat and skin.

Stage 3 · Dry

Hand dried, never a heated cage dryer.

Stage 4 · Tidy

Face, feet and sanitary areas.

Stage 1 · Coat check

What is actually possible today.

Stage 2 · Agree length

Including when short is the kind answer.

Stage 3 · Groom

With breaks, at the animal's pace.

Stage 4 · Show you

Anything found under the coat.

Program 02 · Honest about the length

Full groom

We agree a length at check-in after looking at the actual coat, not the photograph. If it is matted underneath, the result will be shorter than you hoped, and clipping can reveal sores that the mat was hiding. We would rather show you that at the start.

Program 03 · Not shaving a double coat

De-shedding

De-shedding removes loose undercoat and makes a real difference to the house. Shaving a double-coated breed does not, and can permanently change how the coat regrows — so we will decline that and explain why, even in a Florida August.

Stage 1 · Assess

How much undercoat is actually there.

Stage 2 · Bath

To loosen what is shedding.

Stage 3 · Brush out

Thoroughly, in stages.

Stage 4 · Honest advice

Why we will not shave a double coat.

Stage 1 · Short visit

In and out, minimal stress.

Stage 2 · Nails

Trimmed or ground, to the quick safely.

Stage 3 · Ears

Cleaned, and anything odd reported.

Stage 4 · Stop if needed

Better than forcing it.

Program 04 · A short visit on its own

Nails & ears

Plenty of owners manage the coat themselves and only need nails done. Booking it as a short visit is cheaper and far less stressful for an anxious animal than sitting through a groom it does not need.
